I don’t believe in diets. Diets don’t work because they are restrictive and unsustainable. “The word diet should be abolished. It’s not about taking away when you’re trying to lose weight. It’s about creating a lifestyle that includes the enjoyment of eating.” I prefer the acronym DIET Deliciously Indulgent Eating Therapy. Every time we put something in our mouths it has the power to heal or poison us because what we eat changes our cells, thoughts and the expression of illness. During our time together you will learn how easy and delicious it can be to heal yourself and take back control of your health.
Programs are tailored to each individual’s needs, getting to the core of the issue, and achieving desired health outcomes utilizing nature to restore balance in the body. Throughout sessions we will create a foundation of health using food and lifestyle building blocks, using such tools as the glycemic index, pH scale, and nutrient density. We will eliminate the perils that often sabotage a healthy lifestyle like time, limited choices, and resources. One way I do this is by taking one common food item in your home and transforming it into many diverse dishes so you never become bored. We will cook together and I will give you many nourishing resources to make good decisions while eating out. The primary focus is to reduce the impact of disease including diabetes, cholesterol, and abnormal blood pressure – “the trifecta” – on your body as a whole.
